Seletti will kick off 2019, as is tradition, with the winter edition of Maison&Objet, the international event dedicated to home design and decoration. Once again, the most pop and democratic Italian design brand is ready to stun the trade fair attendees with its new products and collaborations, consistently fusing accessibility with outside-of-the-box aesthetics and with functionality.

Previewed in Paris with STREET LAMP - DINING, the table version of the curved STREET LAMP - FLOOR, the lamppost-shaped lamps designed by Studio Job and part of the BLOW By job and Seletti collection – which comprises plates, mugs, folding chairs, lamps, armchairs, mirrors, and bathroom accessories – made in collaboration with Job Smeet and Nynke Tynagel. From the same family of lamps as Tongue and Heart, the latter created ad hoc for Valentine’s Day.

The celebration of love is a theme also tackled by Marcantoniowith the Mouse Lamp and the red heart-shaped lamp, which joins a new series of items inspired by the natural world: the new Cactus Lamps, the Snailsand Mushrooms coat hangers, the Mushroom sconce, and the new SWINGversion of the celebrated Monkey Lamp. Joining these last items is the new My Little Friday Night lamp-sculpture, and the Kintsugi tableware collection is enhanced by bowls and glasses.

The SELETTI WEARS TOILETPAPER collection continues its development with new mirrors bearing crazy graphics designed by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari, and a series of notebooks enriched by visionary images of the Cattelan-Ferrari signed editorial project. Particular focus will be dedicated to the TOILETPAPER signed decor: the dining tables with the small padded chairs, the ornamental vases, and the 1950s-inspired mirrors with golden frames. Lastly, the collaboration with Diesel, elevated by a new version of the Starman vase in gold and the new series of candles with unique Home Scent essences.

STUDIO JOB – Street Lamp

Street Lamp is the archetype of the traditional gas street lamps found in cities in the early 20th century: Studio Job reinterprets the aesthetics of these memorable pieces of street furniture for contemporary home interiors. After the floor version, inspired by the curvature and proportions of the Arco by Achille Castiglioni and presented at the Salone del Mobile 2018, Seletti is bringing the table version to Paris. The aluminium lantern with LED bulbs is a wireless, USB rechargeable lamp, and is a perfect piece of decor for both the home and the world of contracting, for a romantic dinner or for relaxing in a softly lit, vintage style atmosphere.

STUDIO JOB – Tongue Lamp & Heart Lamp

The pop magic of neon, the celebration of the visual inspirations of consumerism and of advertising, using new LED technology which combines aesthetics with functionality.

Studio Job applies its vision to some of the most renowned and widely loved graphic styles. Tongue is the irreverence to the quintessential, the tongue sticking out which, in the 1960s/70s, shocked the middle-class conformism and offered freedom to a generation. Heart, on the other hand, is the simplest, and most effective, homage to San Valentino, a pure sign which communicates love without superstructure.

MARCANTONIO - Mouse Lamp San Valentino

Marcantonio’s best seller, the Mouse Lamp, is transformed into a sweet and romantic message for Valentine’s Day. The small resin rodent with an unusual, pale pink colour, sitting upright on its hind legs, holds a red LED heart-shaped bulb. Like in a fairy tale, the mouse becomes a symbol of the greatest and most beautiful emotion, perfect as a gift for a loved one.

MARCANTONIO – Snails and Mushrooms coat hangers

Walk in a woods from an animated film and find magic animals and plants to keep you company. Marcantonio has designed coat hangers in the shapes of mushrooms and snails, transforming your home into an enchanted forest.

Made of resin, and perfect in each of its details, Snails and Mushrooms are a return to childhood, to the dream world which is still inside all of us and which resurfaces every now and again.

Marcantino once again transports us to a dimensions in which man and nature take each other’s hand and interact, a place in which design fuses into most archetypal and primordial shapes, maintaining its function and transforming and subverting industrial aesthetics.

MARCANTONIO – My Little Friday Night

Technically a table lamp but in reality a story to be told, with an unfinished ending and a beginning yet to be invented.

After My Little Neighbour, Marcantonio has gifted lovers of design another miniature world to discover. A car stopped under a streetlamp, a sign for a motel a few miles away, a Friday night spent travelling a road to a remote and ideal place.

Made completed of resin, My Little Friday Night recreates each and every detail to perfection, leaving the sequel to this still life entirely to the imagination, a still life which seems to have come right out of TV or a hit film.

SELETTI WEARS TOILETPAPER – Notebooks

The crazy and fantastical imagination of Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari strikes again, creating visionary objects with a pop spirit, precisely like Seletti.

In Paris, for the first time ever, the new stationary experiment will find its place: the graphics chosen for TOILETPAPER decorate notebooks in two different sizes, to transform every work meeting into a brainstorming session for the most innovative ideas. The graphics selected by Cattelan and Ferrari for these new objects of desire are: Spaghetti, Revolver, Snake, Roses, Shit, Lipstick, Globe, Toothpaste, Flowers with holes, and Two of Spades.

SELETTI PER DIESEL LIVING – Starman Gold

The new missions on Mars keep man’s interest in space alive, and the Cosmic Diner collection from Seletti for Diesel continues to be the way of celebrating the fascination with the most unknown aspects of the cosmos.

The Starman vase is draped in gold, and the astronaut becomes a precious and sparkling item to display in your home. It’s a perfect return to the tenacity of man in overcoming limitations, and an object of contemporary and ironic design for the most cutting-edge of settings.
