Once again, on the occasion of the cosmopolitan Milan Design Week 2018, Seletti and Studio Job join forces to enrich their brand BLOW with a new and amazing product. BLOW is a family of objects with a total "pop" design mood funded last year as a real design brand by the will of Stefano Seletti, Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel: a project that points to that idea of democratic design that has always distinguished Seletti.

On show at the Salone del Mobile in Rho Fiera and at the Seletti Flagship Store in Corso Garibaldi, the new lamp Cora with its unique “street style” and a hit of “cartoon” mood.

In Job Smeets’ words, the project for a floor lamp started with a brain-storming: “Stefano asked me ‘Job what is the icon of a floor lamp?’, I said the Arco by Achille Castiglioni, so he asked ‘What is the next iconic light?’, I tell him ‘Well it is the Cora’. When I was young I was fascinated with the comic book superhero that could bend over the gas streetlight to light his cigarette. Playing with the states of matter, moving an ordinary object into the impossible, is a beautiful concept we wanted to have with this piece. It’s the meeting point between beautiful sculpture and playful fun, we call it ‘serious fun’”.

Cora is the epitome of the old street lamps, the gas lights which could be found in the streets at the beginning of the 20th century. Studio Job reinterprets the aesthetics of these memorable street furniture to make it suitable for the contemporary homes. 

Made in aluminium and with a state of the art LED bulb, Cora can romantically enlighten any environment combining vintage look, modern design and technology.

The Burger Chair, the Hot Dog Sofa, the neon lights, the plates, the rugs, the mirrors and a whole collection for the bathroom are now joined by a new floor lamp which take this fantastic imaginary world one step forward.
